ERDBA continues to fund steering clinics as part of their Ambassador Program, by providing travel reimbursement for the instructor. This session is free to candidates from ERDBA members, $25 for non-members. PAY HERE

  • Core Creek Park Boat Rental.  10AM-3PM

  • Host: NJ Dragon Boat Club
  • 850 Lake Shore Drive, Parsippany, NJ

  • Host: Boston Dragon Boat Festival
  • Richard J. Resch Boathouse, MIT Boat House​

Tentative Schedule
  • Schedule may be adjusted based on number or skill set of attendees
    • 8:30 - 2:15PM - sign waiver, intros, water instruction
    • 9AM - Group 1  
    • 10:45 - Group 2
    • 12:30PM - Group 3 
    • 2:15PM - Group 4 if needed
    • Volunteer paddlers needed to support these sessions. 

Program goals
  • Clinic goal:  
    • Each candidate will have 2 sessions totaling about 10-15 minutes steering. This is more of a practical run thru for candidates and applying new skills. 
    • Beginner: provide tools enable the candidate to feel a little more control, and how to manage the crew to what they can handle
    • Intermediate: provide tools to help steer races
    • Advanced: work towards increasing spacial awareness and problem solve.​
