IDBF Hall of Fame

​IDBF's 2023 Hall of Fame Class includes Bob McNamara, Coach of ERDBA's Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association, as COACH. Bob has paddled and/or coached in every IDBF World Championship since its inception in 1995. His teams won 148 medals, including 38 gold medals at IDBF World Championships thru 2023 Pattaya Worlds. He also chaired the IDBF Medical Science and Sports Commission.  

IDBF's 30th anniversary was marked with the 2021 Hall of Fame Inaugural Class. This Hall of Fame class included 3 USA's inductees,  all ERDBA members!  Congratulations to Bob and Peggy Morro (Developer: Chief Judge at 1st IDBF world championship, served 2 decades as IDBF officials, created IDBF officials license book, Organized the first IDBF World Championship in USA.) and Kevin McFadden (Athlete: 1st IDBF Worlds = 1995, medaled at 10 of 11 World Championships).

These individuals were recognized and celebrated for their outstanding achievements and making significant contributions to the sport of dragon boat. Whether it is their excellence on the water or their efforts behind the scene, they have demonstrated their commitment to building our sport and inspired others to achieve their best.
